This week's Big Gainer of the week award goes to Dominic Thiem. He won the tournament in Gstaad as the #3 seed by beating the #2 and #1 seeds in the semi final and the final respectively. These victories gave him 31 ELO rating points, and he climbed 3 places in my rankings to #15.
Our Upset Player of the week award goes to Alexandr Dolgopolov. While he wasn't seeded at Atlanta, he was the heavy favourite against the low ranked Go Soeda, and his loss led to Alexander losing 13 ELO rating points, the most of anyone this week. He is now ranked #40 on my rankings, 9 places lower than last week.
Other strong performers relative to their rankings are Fabio Fognini, Marcos Baghdatis, Denis Kudla, Lucas Pouille and Dudi Sela.
