Men's ELO Rankings 10/10/2016

As the players on the ATP World Tour head towards the end of the season, there were 2 tournaments on this week, in Beijing and Tokyo.

The Big Gainer of the week award for this week goes to Nick Kyrgios. He was the 6th seed at Tokyo, and won the tournament with wins over Gael Monfils and David Goffin in the later rounds. This title gives Nick 42 ELO rating points, and he gains 4 places in my rankings to #11.

This week's Upset player of the week is Kei Nishikori. Also at Tokyo, he was the 1st seed, but after winning his opening match against a lucky loser, he lost his 2nd round match. This performance cost Kei 14 ELO rating points, but he remains at #4 on my rankings.

Other strong performers relative to their rankings are Kyle Edmund, James Duckworth, Grigor Dimitrov and Joao Sousa.
