The voting is over, and it's time to announce the winners! Find out who won this year's Tennis ELO awards after the jump.

Like last year, the polls took place on Twitter, and if you haven't done so already, follow @tennis_elo to be the 1st to hear of new blog posts and more.

Nominees:
  • Alexander Zverev - For his performance at Madrid and the ATP Finals.
  • Aslan Karatsev - For his performance at the Australian Open, Dubai and Moscow.

With 44% of the vote, this year's Player of the Year is Aslan Karatsev. Starting the year outside of my rankings, he had an amazing 2021; finishing the year with an ELO rating of 1641 and a ranking of #36. Last year's winner, Jannik Sinner, had another good year and finished just outside the top 10. How well can Aslan do next year?

With 43% of the vote, Barbora Krejcikova is this year's Player of the Year. She gained a massive 193 ELO rating points over the year, moving her up 44 places in my rankings to #14. Last year's winner, Iga Swiatek, had another great year and was nominated for this award for the 2nd year in a row. Can Barbora keep up her good form?

Disappointment of the Year - Men's

Nominees:
  • Adrian Mannarino
  • Gael Monfils

  • Marton Fucsovics
This year's Dissapointment of the Year award goes to Gael Monfils, with 45% of the vote. He lost 15 ELO rating points and 7 places in my rankings over the year. Last year's "winner" of this award, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, had a pretty poor 2021, and hasn't played since Wimbledon. Can Gael avoid that fate next year?

Nominees:
  • Elise Mertens
  • Fiona Ferro
  • Madison Keys
  • Zheng Saisai
Madison Keys is the clear winner of this year's Dissapointment of the Year award, with 58% of the vote. She lost 96 ELO rating points overall, and fell 25 places in my rankings. Last year's "winner", Karolina Pliskova, had an average 2021, ending at the same ranking as she entered it. Can Madison do better next year?
