Men's ELO Rankings 08/08/2016

A short update this week, as there was only 1 tournament on just before the Olympics, in Atlanta.

The Big Gainer of the week this week is Reilly Opelka. He received a Wildcard in to the draw, and managed to get all the way to the semi finals, with wins over the upset player of the week and Donald Young, before losing to John Isner. Reilly is new to the tour, and is therefore not ranked by my system, but his preliminary rating would see him rated #65.

This week's Upset player of the week is Kevin Anderson. He was the 3rd seed, but after his bye, he lost his opening match to the big gainer of the week. This loss cost Kevin 13 ELO rating points, and he falls 4 places in my rankings to #33.

Other strong performers relative to their rankings are Yoshihito Nishioka, Jared Donaldson and Horacio Zeballos.
