Men's ELO Rankings 24/09/2018

Most of the top players took this week off, but there were still 2 tournaments held this week, in Metz and St. Petersburg.

This week's Player of the week is Gilles Simon. He won the tournament in Metz as an unseeded player, defeating Filip Krajinovic and Richard Gasquet on his way to the title. These victories gave Gilles 44 ELO rating points, and he climbs up 14 places in my rankings to #36.

This week's Upset player of the week is Stefanos Tsitsipas. Also at Metz, he was the 2nd seed, but after getting a bye to round 2, he lost to Ricardas Berankis. This loss cost Stefanos 16 ELO rating points, and he moves down 4 places in my rankings to #27.

Other strong performers relative to their rankings are Radu Albot, Matthias Bachinger and Yannick Maden.
