Player of the week is Reilly Opelka. He won the tournament in Delray Beach as the 4th seed, beating Milos Raonic on his way to the title. This victory earned Reilly 47 ELO rating points, moving him up 24 places in my rankings to #34.
This week's
Upset player of the week is Dominic Thiem. Despite winning 2 matches at Rio, the top seed lost his quarter final to qualifier Gianluca Mager (who hasn't played enough to be ranked here). These results ended up costing Dominic 15 ELO rating points, but he stays at #4 in my rankings this week.
Other strong performers relative to their rankings are Christian Garin, Yoshihito Nishioka, Gilles Simon, Alexander Bublik and Pedro Martinez.
