This week's
Player of the week is Heather Watson. She was the 7th seed at Acapulco, and won the title there. These wins earned Heather 44 ELO rating points, moving her up 20 places in my rankings to #63.
This week's
Upset player of the week is Venus Williams. Also at Acapulco, she was the 5th seed, but lost her 1st round match to qualifier Kaja Juvan. This loss cost Venus 15 ELO rating points, and she falls 5 places in my rankings to #29.
Other strong performers relative to their rankings are Ons Jabeur, Zheng Saisai and Wang Xiyu.
