Men's ELO Rankings 02/10/2017

Another week on the ATP World Tour saw 2 tournaments take place last week, in Chengdu and Shenzhen.

This week's Big Gainer of the week award goes to Denis Istomin. He won the tournament in Chengdu by defeating Karen Khachanov and Yuichi Sugita among others. This tournament gave Denis 64 ELO rating point, and he moves up 39 places in my rankings to #75.

The Upset player of the week this week is Dominic Thiem. The top seed at Chengdu, he received a bye to round 2 of the tournament, but then lost his first match. This loss cost Dominic 16 ELO rating points; and he loses 1 place in my rankings to a new ranking of #11.

Other strong performers relative to their rankings are Marcos Baghdatis, Guido Pella, Dudi Sela, Yen-Hsun Lu and Henri Laaksonen.
