Men's ELO Rankings 16/10/2017

This week saw a big tournament tournament held, in Shanghai, as players prepare for the ATP World Tour Finals.

The Big Gainer of the week this week is Victor Troicki. He made it to the quarter finals of the tournament, defeating Dominic Thiem and John Isner before losing to Juan Martin del Potro. This run gave Victor 35 ELO rating points, and he moves up 19 places in my rankings to #43.

This week's Upset player of the week award goes to David Goffin. He was the 8th seed at Shanghai, but after receiving a bye to round 2 of the tournament, he then lost his opening match. This loss cost David 15 ELO rating points, and he moves down 2 places in my rankings to #12.

Other strong performers relative to their rankings are Jan-Lennard Struff, Albert Ramos Vinolas, Gilles Simon and Frances Tiafoe.
