The Player of the week for this week is Joao Sousa. He won the tournament in Pune, with wins over Gianluca Mager, Daniel Altmaier and Emil Ruusuvuori in the final. These wins earned Joao 63 ELO rating points, and he moves up 16 places in my rankings to #129.
This week's Upset player of the week is Aslan Karatsev. The top seed at Pune had a bye to round 2, but then lost in his opening match. This loss cost Aslan 16 ELO rating points, and he falls 3 places in my rankings to #31.
Other strong performers relative to their rankings are Alexander Bublik, Albert Ramos Vinolas, Mikael Ymer, Juan Ignacio Londero and Elias Ymer.
