The Player of the week for this week is Jiri Vesely. He qualified for Dubai, and made it all the way to the final, defeating Roberto Bautista Agut, the then-ELO #1 Novak Djokovic and Denis Shapovalov before losing to Andrey Rublev. This run led to Jiri gaining 62 ELO rating points, and he moves up 32 places in my rankings to #87.
The Upset player of the week for this week is Marin Cilic. He was unseeded at Dubai, and he lost in the 1st round to the player who went on to be this week's player of the week (see above). This loss meant that Marin lost 16 ELO rating points, and he falls 5 places in my rankings to #24.
Other strong performers relative to their rankings are Pedro Martinez, Sebastian Baez, Peter Gojowczyk, Yoshihito Nishioka and Alejandro Tabilo.
