The tennis season is almost over for most of the tennis players on the ATP World Tour, but this week, there were 2 tournaments on, in Basel and Valencia.

The Big Gainer of the week this week is Joao Sousa. He was unseeded at Valencia, and took advantage of the 1 see withdrawing and some bad performances by other seeded players by winning the tournament with wins over Benoit Paire among others. His successes gave Joao 56 ELO rating points and a new ranking of #30 in my rankings, 13 places higher than last week.

This week's Upset player of the week is Stan Wawrinka. He was in Basel as the 2nd seed, but lost in the 1st round to Ivo Karlovic. His early loss caused Stan to lose 14 ELO rating points and he fell 2 places in my rankings to a new ranking of #6.

Other strong performers relative to their rankings are Donald Young, Mischa Zverev, Steve Johnson, Roberto Bautista-Agut and Daniel Brands

Now, the the full rankings. New players in my rankings are marked with "NEW" in the ± column.
