Men's ELO Rankings 13/08/2018

This week, players on the ATP World Tour prepared for the US Open with a large tournament in Toronto.

This week's Player of the week award goes to Stefanos Tsitsipas. He was unseeded at the tournament, and after defeating Dominic Thiem, Novak Djokovic and Alexander Zverev, he went on to make the final by defeating Kevin Anderson, before eventually losing to the ELO #1 Rafael Nadal. This run gave Stefanos 63 ELO rating points, and he gains 13 places in my rankings to #19.

This week's Upset player of the week is Kei Nishikori. He was also unseeded at Toronto, but he lost his 1st round match. This loss meant that Kei lost 16 ELO rating points, but he stays ranked #8 by my rankings.

Other strong performers relative to their rankings are Robin Haase and Ilya Ivashka.
