Men's ELO Rankings 20/08/2018

The American hard court season continued this week, with a large tournament in Cincinnati.

The Player of the week award this week goes to Novak Djokovic. He was the 10th seed at Cincinnati, and went on to win the title, defeating Grigor Dimitrov, Marin Cilic and Roger Federer in the final. This title gave Novak 37 ELO rating points, putting him well clear as the ELO #3 in my rankings.

This week's Upset player of the week is Andy Murray. He received a wildcard to the tournament, but lost in the 1st round to Lucas Pouille. This loss meant that Andy lost 17 ELO rating points, and is now only 10 points above the #5 player on my rankings.

Other strong performers relative to their rankings are none. Nobody outperformed their expectations this week.
