He was a lucky loser at Madrid, and made it all the way to the final of the tournament by defeating Ben Shelton and Stefanos Tsitsipas among others before losing to Carlos Alcaraz. These results game Jan-Lennard 65 ELO rating points, moving him up 33 places in my rankings to a new career high of #48.
This 2 week's Upset player of the week is Sebastian Korda. The 22nd seed had a bye to round 2 of this week's tournament, where he lost to qualifier Hugo Grenier. This loss cost Sebastian 17 ELO rating points, and he falls 2 places in my rankings to #15/
