Men's ELO Rankings 22/05/2023

There are 2 large tournaments taking place on the European clay courts before we get to the French Open, and the second one of them took place over the past 2 weeks, in Rome.

This 2 week's Player of the week is Yannick Hanfmann. He qualified for Rome and made it to the quarter finals, defeating Taylor Fritz and Andrey Rublev before losing to Daniil Medvedev.These results gave Yannick 49 ELO rating points, and he climbs 27 places in my rankings to #46.

This 2 week's Upset player of the week is Carlos Alcaraz. The 2nd seed at the tournament made it to the 3rd round where he lost to qualifier Fabian Maroszan. These results meant that Carlos lost 17 ELO rating points, and he falls 1 place in my rankings to #3.

Other strong performers relative to their rankings are Laslo Djere, Alexei Popyrin, Gregoire Barrere and Fabio Fognini.
