Men's ELO Rankings 08/02/2021

The Australian Open begins tomorrow, and most of the players were preparing for it with 2 tournaments held in Melbourne.

The Player of the week this week is Stefano Travaglia. He played the Great Ocean Road Open, and made it to the final there with wins over Sam Querrey, Alexander Bublik and Hubert Hurkacz before losing to Jannik Sinner. These results earned Stefano 52 ELO rating points, moving him up 35 places in my rankings to #67.

This week's Upset player of the week is Ugo Humbert. He was the 7th seed at the Murray River Open, and received a bye to round 2, but then he lost his first match to James Duckworth. This loss cost Ugo 16 ELO rating points, and he falls 3 places in my rankings to #26.

Other strong performers relative to their rankings are Daniel Evans, Jiri Vesely, Jordan Thompson, Corentin Moutet and Thiago Monteiro.
