This week's Player of the week is Max Purcell. He qualified for the tournament in Cincinnatti and made it to the quarter finals, defeating Casper Ruud among others before losing to Carlos Alcaraz. These results combine to give Max 43 ELO rating points, and he moves up 23 places in my rankings to #110.
This week's Upset player of the week is Jannik Sinner. The 8th seed at this week's tournament had a bye to round 2, where he lost to a qualifier. This loss meant that Jannik lost 17 ELO rating points, and he falls 1 place in my rankings to #6.
Other strong performers relative to their rankings are Alexei Popyrin and Dusan Lajovic.
