This week's Player of the week is Roman Safiullin. He made it to the final of Chengdu, defeating Daniel Evans and Lorenzo Musetti before losing to Alexander Zverev. Thses results gave Roman 42 ELO rating points, and he climbs 25 places in my rankings to a career high of #54.
This week's Upset player of the week is Alexander Bublik. The 5th seed at Chengdu lost in round 1 to Marcos Giron. This loss cost Alexander 12 ELO rating points, and he moves down 3 places in my rankings to #47.
Other strong performers relative to their rankings are Yoshihito Nishioka, Aslan Karatsev and Christopher O'Connell.
