Men's ELO Rankings 05/03/2018

I've been back from holiday for over a week now, so we return to regular service. Many players were preparing for Indian Wells, which starts next week, but there were 3 tournaments on the ATP World Tour this week, in Acapulco, Dubai and Sao Paulo.

This week's Player of the Week award goes to Malek Jaziri. He received a wildcard in to Dubai, and after beating the Upset player of the week (see below), he made it all the way to the semi finals, losing to the winner Roberto Bautista Agut. This run gave Malek 38 ELO rating points, and he moves up 29 places in my rankings to #97.

The Upset player of the week this week is Grigor Dimitrov. He was the top seed at Dubai, but lost his 1st round match to the Player of the week (see above). This loss cost Grigor 18 ELO rating points, and he loses 1 place in my rankings to #6.

Other strong performers relative to their rankings are Jared Donaldson, Nicolas Jarry, Filip Krajinovic, Stefanos Tsitsipas and Evgeny Donskoy.
