We're down to the last 16, so I'm going to update my Miami predictions, but firstly, after the jump, a look at how the early rounds went.

- Of the 4 favourites for the title before the tournament, 2 of them are still in. Serena Williams lost to Wang Qiang in round 3, and Elina Svitolina lost to Wang Yafan in round 2.
- Whilst Anna Karolina Schmiedlova had the easiest overall draw, this didn't help her to victory, as she lost to Tatjana Maria in the 1st round. Jessica Pegula had the toughest overall draw and lost to Johanna Konta in round 1.
- Wang Xinyu and Johanna Larsson had the easiest 1st round draws, but both players unexpectedly lost their round 1 matches. Dominika Cibulkova had the toughest 1st round draw, and lost as expected to Victoria Azarenka.
But what about the future? Let's take a look at what the rest of the tournament looks like.
- Karolina Pliskova is now the favourite to win the title with a 20.14% chance, Simona Halep is the 2nd favourite at 15.17%, Ashleigh Barty is 3rd at 11.23%, and Petra Kvitova 4th most likely with 11.08%.
- The easiest draws relative to her ranking hava gone to Caroline Wozniacki, Anett Kontaveit and Bianca Andreescu. They are 2 places more likely to win than their ranking suggests.
- On the other hand, Caroline Garcia has the toughest draws relative to her ranking, as she's the 13th most likely to win while having the 9th highest ranking of the remaining players.
- Venus Williams has the toughest 4th round match, as she's the 11th most likely player to win her next match, while she is the 5th highest ranked player still competing.
- The player with the easiest next match compared to their ranking is Marketa Vondrousova. She's the 2nd most likely to make it to the quarter finals, while she's the 13th highest ranked player remaining.
