Men's ELO Rankings 20/03/2017

2 weeks after the last rankings update, the tournament in Indian Wells has finished. Let's take a look at what happened there.

The Big Gainer of the week award this week goes to the tournament winner, Roger Federer. He was the 9th seed at Indian Wells, and defeated Rafael Nadal and Stan Wawrinka on his way to the title. This performance gave Roger 33 ELO rating points, which sees him move closer to the top 2 in my rankings.

This week's Upset player of the week is Andy Murray. The top seed and ELO #1 lost in his opening match after receiving a bye. This loss cost Andy 19 ELO rating points, and the gap between him and #2 Novak Djokovic narrows to 26 points.

Other strong performers relative to their rankings are Malek Jaziri, Yoshihito Nishioka, Dusan Lajovic, Vasek Pospisil and Taylor Fritz.
