Over the past 2 weeks, the 2nd Grand Slam of the year, the French Open took place. There was also a WTA tournament held in Nottingham last week. Let's see how those tournaments affected my ratings and rankings.

The Player of the week for the 2 weeks is Barbora Krejcikova. She won the French Open as an unseeded player, defeating Ekaterina Alexandrova, Elina Svitolina, Coco Gauff, Maria Sakkari and finally, Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova. These wins led to Barbora gaining 68 ELO rating points, and she climbs 11 places in my rankings to #16. Special mention to Johanna Konta for winning the other tournament, and over both weeks she gained 23 ELO rating points and 6 places to #34.
This 2 week's Upset player of the week award goes to Garbine Muguruza. She was the 12th seed at Paris, but she lost in the 1st round. This loss cost Garbine 17 ELO rating points, but she stays at #6 in my rankings. Another dishonourable mention goes to Maria Camila Osorio Serrano for losing her opening match in the other tournament, which meant that over both weeks, she lost 26 ELO rating points and 17 places to #76.
Other strong performers relative to their rankings are Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova, Sloane Stephens, Tamara Zidansek and Marta Kostyuk.
