Over the past 2 weeks, we had the first Grand Slam of the year, the Australian Open on. Let's find out what happened in Melbourne and how that affected my rankings.

The Player of the week for the 2 weeks is Madison Keys. She made it to the semi finals of the tournament, defeating Sofia Kenin, Paula Badosa and Barbora Krejcikova before losing to ELO #1 Ashleigh Barty. These results led to Madison earning 47 ELO rating points, and she climbs 12 places in my rankings to #19.
The Upset player of the week for the 2 weeks is Angelique Kerber. She was the 16th seed at Melbourne, but she ended up losing her 1st round match. This loss meant that Angelique lost 15 ELO rating points, and she moves down 2 places in my rankings to #17,.
Other strong performers relative to their rankings are Alize Cornet, Sorana Cirstea, Kaia Kanepi, Marta Kostyuk and Zhang Shuai.
